The 2012 Casey Cardinia Netball League season vote count has been counted & awards given. First I would like to congratulate all our netball girls who polled very well for our club.
A grade : Our club did very well with a runner up in this grade and yes it was Tara Cecil who was beaten by 1 vote. Congrats Tara the club & members are very proud of you.
B grade : Alison Allan came third with only playing 3/4 of the season. What a great effort Alison.
17's & Under : Tayla Roth finished 6th for the season. A great season in goals this year and I had my money on her taking out the league B&F. Next year Tayla.
15's & Under : Another favorite of our club Natalie Sparks came runner up this year. Nat also has had a terrific year playing finals both with Cranbourne & Peninsula Waves. Well done Nat
13's & Under: I'm very proud to announce that Hinemoa Collier is this years Casey Cardinia NL U13 best & fairest winner. She won by 9 votes. For those who don't know Hinemoa she also represented Victorian Primary Schools in South Australia which won the tournament.
I think we at the Cranbourne NC are very lucky to have so much talent from the 13's to A grade and should be very proud of all our girls. I know I am !
Well Done girls/ladies

Cranbourne Netball Club Notes 16/09/12
Under 13s- The team has enjoyed a week off from the finals having won their semi to head straight into the Premiership Round. The girls have worked hard at training and are pumped for their game against rivals, Pakenham. Good luck girls, we know you will give it your all!!
Under 15s- The team went out today a little low on numbers due to some injuries and a badly timed school camp. They started well but ROC came out with a stronger performance and got away with a good lead. The girls held ROC in the 2nd and 4th quarters but unfortunately couldn’t make up the goals needed to come away with a win on the day. Well done girls on a great season. We are all very proud of how well you’ve played and presented yourselves on court. It was a fantastic effort to get to the Preliminary Finals against some quality opposition sides. The team would also like to thank the Under 13 girls that helped us out through the season and finals with numbers. We are looking forward to another strong season in 2013!!
Special Note- Congratulations to some incredibly talented Cranbourne girls who came away with awards at the League Medal evening.
Hinemoa Collier- Under 13s League Medal recipient.
Nat Sparks- Under 15s Runner Up.
Tara Cecil- A Grade Runners Up.
Congratulations to all the other fantastic players at Cranbourne who polled really well in the vote counts also. Well done, Go Cranny!!

Congratulations Hinamoa Collier
Hinemoa Collier experience at representing Victoria primary schools last week.
We had a fantastic time, a trip well worth all the preparation etc.
She did so well, not being in the starting 7 but by game 2 the coaches realised she needed to be on the court in GA if they were to win.
From then on she got lots of court time playing mainly GA. Not missing too many goals and rebounding over girls that were taller then her. She really had a ball mixing with all the girls from other states and made new friends.
Hinemoa fitted into the whole tournament enjoying the serious stuff on the court and the mix and match class room activities also. She was Lucky enough to meet 3 of the Adelaide Thunderbird girls and get her picture with them.
The week didn't go too fast and not too slow either, which was great. All the girls from all teams and states improved as a team and individually. The best part of the whole experience at the end was the final results. Victorious Victorians winning the tournament and bringing home the gold medal and the cup. What a thrilling experience, she was soo happy. Thanks to all at Cranbourne Eagles netball club for the support and we look forward to be a part of the club for many seasons to come.
